Thanks for visiting If You’re Ever In…

Sit back and get your travel fix from the couch.  I hope that I can help you go beyond simply visiting a place, but enjoying and exploring the past and present of unique destinations.

 

  • Spotlight. The spotlight gallery highlights destinations by giving a little bit of history and facts that I learned from my research prior to visiting or from the guides and information presented during my visit. If possible, I’ve tried to compile some tips that will make your visit to any of these places more enjoyable. Perhaps its the offer of a behind the scenes tour that is normally tucked away deep in their website, or simply a nice vantage point I stumbled upon while visiting. Also look for photography tips such as times of the day to get the best lighting or suggested equipment and lenses to get the most of your shoot.

I hope to inspire you to visit some of these wonderful destinations. At the time of writing, all information presented is a reflection of my personal experience and research based on the destination’s online presence. Please verify key information, such as hours, admission and tours before visiting as they may have changed.

  • Articles & Posts. In my blog look for articles that range in topics from traveling with pets (I have 3 dogs) to planning advice. The blog will also feature updates from the yearly challenges I will be holding for myself starting in 2015!

 

  • Birding Gallery. A combination of hobbies (photography, wildlife, hiking) has brought me into the world of bird photography. I enjoy the challenge of locating and photographing birds and other wildlife. In the birding gallery I focus on presenting the best of my work in this field and look forward to growing as a photographer and as a birder.
