Trumpeter Swan
The following series of photos were taken during my 2015 road trip at Yellowstone National Park. I had spotted a small flock of Trumpeter Swans floating elegantly along the Yellowstone River in the Hayden Valley. As luck would have it, I was driving in the direction of downriver and was able to out-pace them to a pull-off with a picnic area south of Canyon Village. After setting up my camera gear and unpacking my lunch I was rewarded with great views. They even approached the shallows in the bend by the picnic area for some bathing and close-ups.
